N2Ktag, a brand new app which using Augmented Reality (AR) will drive you exploring the protected natural areas of the Lagoon of Venice, of its coasts and of the Caorle’s marine protected area (SCI and SPA Natura 2000 Network), providing you real-time environmental information, allowing you to discover the beauty and uniqueness of the natural habitats and deepening your knowledge of the area that surrounds you.

40,000 hectares of land and the species that inhabit it are described in more than 100 comprehensive cards relating to habitats and emergent properties that characterize them, to the flora and fauna, highlighting ecosystemic, taxonomic and functional aspects, in an environmental context significant for its high value of biodiversity. The AR interface shows in the display, superimposed on images in real-time, mapping of habitats with the best vantage points of the plant and animal species, as well as 360-degree panoramic images, photographs, diagrams, movies, etc..

LIVE IT!
Wherever you are you’ll be able to explore the area, acquire the information and plan your journey to the sites, finding out remotely and in advance what could be interesting to visit, becoming the protagonist of a conscious and responsible enjoyment of nature, consistent with the needs of protection of species of wild fauna and flora and of the conservation of their habitats. Follow the paths among those suggested, terrestrial or underwater ones, moving by foot, by public water bus or by boat; you can also create new itineraries, planning them using as trace the species and their ecology, the habitats that you’ll want to see, the areas of biological or morphological interest.

TAG IT!
Take a note in real time of what you’re seeing, of the animal and plant species which you have just observed, of the emotions you are feeling. You can choose to share it with all the other visitors who have visited or will visit the places where you are, increasing the widespread knowledge of the Venetian territory and encouraging a better understanding of the natural environments that have fascinated you most.

N2Ktag is also a website where you can find described the apps functionalities, a demo video and the basic information for the first "exploration" of the Nature 2000 networks areas. Moreover, N2Ktag is a web app for teaching, optimized for LIM, usable with any PC connected to the Internet.
